The Basics Before Your Visit

Policies & Communication
Need to reschedule? No problem! Appointments can be changed by phone or text (713-647-8000) with advance notice. If a last-minute change is unavoidable, your deposit may be applied toward a cancellation fee.
Is Evolution at Tanglewood Dental In-Network With My Insurance?
Evolution at Tanglewood Dental is an out-of-network dental clinic. However, we still accept many PPO dental insurance plans and are happy to help patients submit claims and maximize their available out-of-network benefits.
Being out of network allows our team to focus on personalized care, longer appointments, and treatment recommendations based on your needs rather than insurance limitations or quotas. For patients without dental insurance, we also offer an affordable Membership Care Plan that includes preventive services and reduced fees on many treatments throughout the year.
If you have questions about your dental insurance coverage or would like to learn whether our Membership Care Plan is a good fit for you, our team is happy to help.

Appointments & Scheduling
Evolution at Tanglewood Dental provides personalized care for everything from routine cleanings to cosmetic dentistry, advanced prosthodontics, and TMJ treatment. We’re honored to have the opportunity to care for you and believe every patient deserves attentive, dedicated time with their dental team. To reserve that time, new patient visits require a $50 deposit, while treatment appointments require a $100 deposit that will be applied toward the cost of care.
FAQ:
Appointments & Scheduling
New patients can schedule by giving us a call at 713-647-8000 or by filling out our appointment request form.
New patient visits require a $50 deposit to reserve an appointment time. Scheduled treatment appointments require a $100 deposit that will be applied toward the cost of care.
Deposits can be processed securely over the phone or through a secure payment link sent by our office. Payment is required at the time of scheduling in order to reserve the appointment time.
Not necessarily. As long as we receive at least 48 hours’ notice for cleanings or 1 week’s notice for treatment appointments, deposits can typically be transferred to a new appointment time. If last-minute changes are unavoidable, the deposit may be applied toward a cancellation fee.
After scheduling for the first time, you’ll receive a patient registration form that can be completed ahead of time. If preferred, the form can also be completed in our office by arriving 15 minutes before the appointment.
Please bring a valid ID, your insurance card, and a method of payment.
WE’RE HERE TO HELP
READY FOR BETTER DENTAL CARE?
Insurance, Payment Options & Financing
We strongly believe that everyone deserves access to compassionate, high-quality dental care without feeling overwhelmed by the financial side of treatment. Our team is happy to help our patients navigate PPO insurance benefits, payment plans, financing options, and flexible payment arrangements so there are fewer surprises along the way. We also accept HSA and FSA cards to help make treatment more accessible and manageable.
FAQ:
Insurance & Payment
Evolution at Tanglewood Dental accepts PPO Insurance plans. Though we aren’t in network, we work with most insurance plans to help patients maximize their available benefits and coverage.
Every insurance plan is different, so out-of-pocket costs can vary depending on coverage, deductibles, and the treatment recommended. Before treatment begins, our team provides a preliminary estimate based on available insurance information, but final coverage and patient portion are ultimately determined by your insurance provider.
The patient portion is the amount of your treatment cost that is not covered by your insurance plan. This amount is determined by your insurance provider after the claim has been reviewed and processed after treatment.
You don’t need dental insurance to receive quality care at Evolution at Tanglewood Dental. We offer an in-house Membership Care Plan that includes preventive services and reduced fees on many treatments, making it easier to budget for your dental care throughout the year.
For larger treatment plans, we also accept financing through Cherry and offer flexible payment options to help make care more manageable.
Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance with our office.
Yes. Recommended treatment and estimated costs are reviewed with patients before proceeding, including any updates if additional issues are discovered during treatment. If insurance applies, expected coverage can be estimated in advance, but insurance providers determine final payment amounts only after treatment is completed and claims are processed.
Emergency visits are not necessarily more expensive, but costs can vary depending whether same-day care is required. Before moving forward with any recommended treatment, our team will review the estimated costs with you and answer any questions you may have.

What if I Can’t Afford the Care I Need?
We understand that larger or more complex treatment plans can sometimes feel financially overwhelming. After your initial appointment and treatment evaluation, our team will walk you through your recommended treatment options. For patients without dental insurance, our Membership Care Plan offers preventive services and reduced fees on many treatments. We also accept financing through Cherry, allowing eligible patients to split treatment costs into manageable monthly payments after a quick application.
If there is still a remaining balance after financing, our team may also be able to discuss additional payment arrangements depending on your treatment plan and timeline. For longer treatment plans, patients may also have the option to reapply for additional financing later on.
No Pressure. Compassionate Care. Honest Pricing.
Cancelling, Rescheduling, Policies & Communication
We understand that unexpected situations can come up. To help us provide dedicated time and attentive care for every patient, we ask that appointment changes be communicated as early as possible. Appointments cancelled outside of the necessary notice period (48 hours for cleanings & 7 days for treatment) may be subject to cancellation fees or non-refundable deposits.
FAQ:
Policies & Communication
We ask that the patient provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cleanings and 1 week’s notice for treatment with Dr. Kheir. Appointments can be changed by call or text at 713-647-8000.
Not necessarily. With sufficient notice, deposits can typically be transferred to a new appointment time. Deposits may become non-refundable if appointments are cancelled or rescheduled outside of the required notice window.
Appointment times are reserved specifically for each patient. Last-minute cancellations and missed appointments can make it difficult to offer that time to other patients who may need care.
Missed appointments without notice may result in a no-show fee.
Yes. Patients are welcome to contact our office by call or text to 713-647-8000 regarding appointment changes.
Absolutely. Recommended treatment, estimated costs, and any updates to the treatment plan are always reviewed with patients before proceeding.
If additional conditions are discovered during treatment, our team will explain the findings, review any updated recommendations or costs, and answer any questions before moving forward.
